Nimbio Cellular Controller
Industrial-grade cellular hardware that retrofits to any existing gate operator or electric lock in minutes. Includes a built-in multi-carrier LTE SIM (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) and a premium Omron mechanical relay rated for 50,000,000 operations.
All-Inclusive Cellular & App Plan
Covers your dedicated multi-carrier LTE connection (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile), the secure Cloud Portal, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, GuestView video intercom, OTA updates, and ongoing app support — everything, all-in.
For residential properties, we bill per home — not per user — so your subscription stays flat as your household roster grows. Commercial pricing is based on the number of active users, and applies the same way for a single site or a full commercial property portfolio. Pricing questions
Do I pay more if my household has multiple family members using the app?
No. Residential pricing is per home, not per person. Every household member can have their own digital key at no extra charge, and you can issue Recurring Keys, Doorbell Keys, and delivery access codes without affecting your subscription rate.
What does the monthly subscription cover?
The subscription covers cellular connectivity (multi-carrier LTE data is included — no separate SIM plan), the full Nimbio platform and all its features, automatic over-the-air firmware updates, Cloud Portal access, end-user app support, and ongoing maintenance. Hardware is also covered by Nimbio’s lifetime warranty — if your controller ever stops working, Nimbio provides a prompt replacement. There is no separate charge for any of these.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Yes. When you prepay annually, you get one month of cellular service free — effectively a month’s subscription at no cost. Contact us when requesting a quote and we’ll include the annual option.
Is the hardware covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every Nimbio controller is covered by a lifetime hardware warranty. If your controller ever stops working for any reason, Nimbio provides a prompt replacement — at no additional cost. This applies to all customers regardless of billing model.
Is there a setup or installation fee?
The $299 hardware cost is a one-time purchase. Beyond that, the low monthly subscription covers everything ongoing — no activation fees, no setup charges, no separate cellular plan. Contact us for a full quote.
Can I add more gates or doors later?
Yes. Each additional access point is its own Nimbio controller ($299), added as a line item on your single existing subscription — not a separate subscription. That line item carries a small added monthly charge to cover the new controller’s own cellular connectivity and maintenance. The Virtual Keychain feature brings all of them together in one app, so users see every door they’re authorized for in a single interface.
Is cellular data included, or do I need a separate data plan?
Cellular data is fully included in your Nimbio subscription. The pre-installed multi-carrier SIM automatically connects to the strongest of AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile — you never manage a SIM plan, activate a carrier, or pay a separate data bill. The SIM works internationally too — international customers should contact us to confirm which networks are supported in their region.
Does Nimbio work with my existing gate?
The majority of Nimbio installations work with existing gate operators and electronic locks — no rip-and-replace.
