Visitor Guide to Nimbio GuestView

Welcome! GuestView is the page you use to open the gate or contact the person you are visiting. You do not need a Nimbio account or app to use this page.


1. Getting to the Directory

Depending on the gate, there are three ways to open the GuestView directory on your phone:

  • 📷 Scan the QR Code: Point your phone’s camera at the QR code printed on the gate’s call box or signage. Tap the link that appears.

  • 🔗 Follow a Short Link: If the resident texted you a short web link (e.g., nimbio.io/n/MAPLE), simply tap it to open the directory.

  • 📲 Tap the NFC Tag: If the gate has an NFC sticker, hold your phone near it. The directory will open automatically.


2. Finding Who You Are Visiting

Once the directory loads, use the Search Bar at the top. You can search by the resident’s name or their unit number. (Note: Some residents may use custom names, like “Apartment 5B” or “Yoga Studio”).

Once you find their listing, tap Call to start a video call.

  • 👤 Calling a Person: Rings that specific resident’s phone so they can see you and let you in.

  • 🏠 Calling a Home: Rings every resident at that unit address at the same time. The first person to answer can open the gate.


3. Using an Access Code

If a resident shared a specific access code with you ahead of time, you don’t need to call them.

  1. Tap the access code field on the resident’s listing.

  2. Type the code exactly as provided (capitalization doesn’t matter, and spaces are fine).

  3. Tap Submit. The gate will open immediately!

🛑 Having trouble with your code?

Here is what the error messages mean:

  • “This code is currently disabled”
    The resident has temporarily turned this code off. You will need to tap Call to reach them instead.

  • “Code is expired” or “Not yet active”
    The code is currently outside of its allowed time window. Check with the resident to confirm when the code is supposed to work.

  • “Invalid code”
    The code does not match the system. Double-check what the resident sent you for typos.

  • Blocked from trying again?
    If you guess too many incorrect codes in a row, the system will temporarily lock you out. Wait a few minutes and try again, or call the resident directly.


4. Helpful Information

Are you a resident locked out without your keys?
If you are a member of this community but left your keys or phone app behind, you can sign in directly from this public page to open the gate:

  1. Tap Sign In in the top corner of the directory.

  2. Enter your phone number.

  3. Enter the one-time code texted to you.

  4. Tap the Open button next to the gate name.

Did you receive a Nimbio Shipping Link?
If you are a Nimbio customer expecting hardware and were sent a secure shipping link via GuestView: Click the link, fill in your delivery details (address autocomplete will help you), and click submit to attach your shipping info directly to your order.
