No. The $299 is a one-time hardware cost for the controller only. An ongoing monthly subscription is required to cover cellular service, support, and maintenance. Call (800) 353-3422 for subscription pricing before purchasing — residential is flat-rate per home, commercial is flexible based on active users.
Will this work with my existing gate, buzzer, or call box?
In almost all cases, yes. The controller wires in parallel to any electronic gate operator, buzzer system, or call box with a 6.5V–24V power source and a dry-contact input. If you’re unsure whether your specific hardware is compatible, call us before ordering.
Do I need Wi-Fi or a landline at the gate?
No. The controller runs entirely over a pre-installed multi-carrier LTE SIM. As long as there’s cellular coverage at the location, no Wi-Fi, internet connection, or phone line is needed.
Do I need a professional installer, or can I install it myself?
Most customers install it themselves — it wires in parallel to your gate operator’s existing dry-contact input, with Bluetooth provisioning to connect it to the app in about 60 seconds. If you’d rather not do the wiring yourself, we recommend using a licensed installer, especially for commercial, HOA, or multifamily properties where local code compliance may apply.
