Visiting a Nimbio Community? Here’s How to Get In

GuestView is the page you use to open the gate or reach the person you’re visiting. You don’t need a Nimbio account or app.

Getting to the directory

At the gate, look for a QR code or an NFC sticker — most gates have one or the other, not both:

  • See a QR code? Point your phone’s camera at it to open the directory
  • See an NFC sticker? Hold your phone near it and the directory opens automatically

Already have a link? If a resident texted or emailed you a short link (like nimbio.io/n/MAPLE), just tap it — no need to find anything at the gate.

Using an access code

If the resident already gave you a code, you don’t need to call anyone:

  1. Tap the access code field next to the resident’s name
  2. Type the code — it’s not case-sensitive and spaces are fine
  3. Tap Submit — the gate opens immediately

Finding and calling the person you’re visiting

No code? Use the search bar to find them by name or unit number, then send a call request to an individual or the whole home — any resident there gets a text, and whoever taps it answers on video and can open the gate for you.

The resident gets a text message with a link to answer, from anywhere in the world — they don’t have to be home. When they tap it, they’ll see your live video to confirm who you are, then open the gate remotely. It’s one-way video by default — they see you, you don’t see them — though they can turn on their own camera for two-way video.

No code and no answer? Try Number-Verified Access

On gates where the community has turned on Number-Verified Access, you’ll see a button labeled “Get me in” above the resident list. It lets you open the gate yourself by verifying your phone number — no resident, key, or code needed.

  1. Tap “Get me in”
  2. Enter your phone number
  3. Enter the code texted to you (it auto-fills on many phones)
  4. The gate opens — on scan-only gates, tap your phone at the gate’s NFC tag too

Your first entry doesn’t need a name on file; later visits will ask for one. If you don’t see this option, Number-Verified Access hasn’t been enabled for this gate — use the video call or an access code instead.

A couple of other situations

  • No code and no answer? Try the video call again, or wait for the resident to sign you in themselves.
  • Delivering a package? If you have a Nimbio shipping link from the resident, follow the instructions in that link instead of the general directory flow.
