How do I use GuestView to visit someone?
No app, no account. Scan the QR code or tap the NFC tag at the gate, then either call the resident or enter a code they’ve already given you.
Getting to the directory
No app or account needed — everything happens in your phone’s browser.
Scan the QR code
Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code posted by the gate.
Follow the short link
A link like nimbio.io/n/MAPLE opens the directory directly.
Tap the NFC tag
Hold your phone near the NFC tag and the directory opens automatically.
Finding and calling the resident
Search by name or unit number, then start an individual call or a whole-home call (any resident of that home can answer). The resident gets a text message with a link to answer, from anywhere in the world — they don’t have to be home.
The video is one-way by default: the resident sees you, but you don’t see the resident — unless the resident chooses to turn on their own camera for two-way video.
Using an access code
If the resident already gave you a code, you don’t need to call.
Tap the code field next to the resident’s name
Type the code
Not case-sensitive; spaces are fine.
Tap Submit
The gate opens immediately.
If the code doesn’t work
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Disabled | The code was turned off — call the resident instead. |
| Expired / Not yet active | Outside the code’s valid time window. |
| Invalid | Typo, or the code doesn’t match any active code. |
| Too many attempts | Several wrong tries trigger a short lockout — wait and try again, or call instead. |
No code and no answer? Try the video call again, or wait for the resident to sign you in themselves. On gates where the community has enabled Number-Verified Access, you may also see a “Get me in” button — tap it to verify your own phone number and open the gate directly, with no code or call needed.
