How do I install a Nimbio device?

Most installations take under an hour and wire in parallel to your existing gate operator — no trenching, no new power run, no operator replacement.

“Nimbio Gate Installation” — shows the full process: install, mount, and activate/provision the hardware.

Registering an installer profile

Do this before you arrive on site — you need the app’s Install tab enabled first.

1

Call Nimbio support

Call 800-353-3422, ext. 2.

2

Provide your details

Give your full name and phone number.

3

Support enables your Installer tab

Once enabled, the “Installer” tab appears in your app.

What installation involves

1

Pre-installation checklist — watch the video above, download the Nimbio app, and confirm you have Installer Access (the “Install” tab visible in the app). Installer Access is turned on by Nimbio support on request — if you don’t see the Install tab, call 800-353-3422 before you arrive on site.

2

On-site wiring — the controller wires in parallel to your operator’s existing dry-contact input; nothing is removed. Bluetooth and Location Services must be enabled on your phone for the app-based setup step.

3

App-based device configuration — activate the SIM, enter the community and gate owner details, set the gate’s location and name, and program the device. Bluetooth is used only for this one-time setup, never during normal operation.

4

Testing and mounting — a Nimbio support team member calls to test the gate before you close the panel. Mount with antennas pointing straight up.

We recommend a professional installer. Nimbio recommends having a licensed professional gate or low-voltage technician install your device. Our support team can also work directly with property owners or their personnel if you prefer to install it yourselves.
