Feature Overview: Visual Verification for Smarter Gate Access
The new system allows visitors to use their smartphone to request gate access via a one-way video call. Residents can visually verify the visitor before remotely opening the gate, providing peace of mind and a seamless entry experience.
How It Works for the Visitor:
Initiate Entry Request: At the gate, the visitor either:
Scans a displayed QR code.
Taps their phone on an NFC panel.
Contact Resident: This action opens a resident directory on the visitor’s phone, consisting of all master key holders. The visitor selects the resident to contact. The resident will then receive a text message with a link that will initiate a one-way video call with the visitor.
Start Video Call: The resident initiates a one-way video call to the visitor. If the resident wishes to share video, they have the option to do so during the call.
How It Works for the Resident:
Notification: The resident receives a text message with a link, indicating a visitor is requesting a video call at the gate.
View Visitor: Clicking the link opens the live video call with the visitor using their phone’s camera.
Grant Gate Access: The resident can then open the gate by tapping the “Open” button during the call.
